About Us
The Gundaroo Puzzler AKA Kim is a farmer that lives on a beautiful 200 acre property near Gundaroo NSW. Together with his wife Lia they run White Dorper sheep.
Kim’s previous occupation was in IT and he has always had an interest in woodwork.  In 2010 Kim started researching CNC machines. A CNC router is a computer controlled cutting machine that allows the owner to load patterns into the computer connected to the CNC machine and make intricate carvings and 3D puzzles. Kim built his own CNC machine from the ground up in 2011 and started learning how to use this machine. He produced fantastic carvings, chopping boards, puzzles to name just a few.
In 2013 Kim and Lia decided to start selling at the local market. It was December and we were blown away by the response to Kim’s products.
In 2014 Kim and Lia started selling at The Old Bus Depot Market in Kingston Canberra This is a wonderful weekly market that is well supported by Canberran’s and tourists. They also started selling at the Hand Made Market another great market which is a quarterly event.
Using the profits the market stalls Kim purchased a laser cutter to complement the CNC Machine. This has allowed more intricate puzzles to be cut with a very professional finish.
2015 The Gundaroo Puzzler was invited to sell his products in the Hand Made Shop in Allara St Canberra. This shop is chock-a-block full of wonderful handmade and designed products.
